About James Faktor
James is a publisher and founder who began his publishing career at Endeavour Press in 2016 and became Publishing Director for the renamed Lume Books 3 years later. During that time he also launched USound, an audiobook home-recording platform that works with acting schools and authors to assist with their audiobook recordings.
He left Lume Books in June 2022 to launch BookVolts, a blockchain-based publishing platform that allows authors to publish limited digital editions of their work directly for readers to own and trade.
He has a specifically digital outlook towards publishing, working across multiple aspects of the publishing process and developing a curiosity for new innovations that can help make a book successful.

About Ruth Kell
After earning her BA in History and MA in Publishing from the University of Exeter, Ruth was eager to dive into the world of books. Having loved 'big books' from an early age, she knew her 'big girl' job had to be surrounded by them. She's passionate about diversifying the literary landscape, ensuring more voices and perspectives reach readers everywhere, and now works to creatively get great stories into the right hands. She's still figuring out the difference between effect and affect, but thankfully that isn't a daily requirement at dp.
When she's not working, you'll probably find her reading translated fiction, crocheting, painting or hunting for the perfect oat mocha.

About Carina Krug
Books have always been a big part of Carina's life, which is why she moved to Stuttgart to study media publishing. The goal: to work in a publishing house and publish books. After she started as a trainee at dp in 2022 and is now primarily responsible for managing books and authors, she has successfully fulfilled this goal. In addition to taking care of authors and their stories, she has also made forays into quality management, key accounts and community care.
In her spare time, she continues to devour books, goes to the cinema a little too often and has a totally normal obsession with Kpop and K-dramas.

About Anne Peisler
Anne knew she wanted to work in the publishing world as soon as she finished school, since books are the only thing she knows anything about. After completing her literature degree, she therefore moved to Stuttgart in 2018 to work at dp.
Since then, her favourite task has been to accompany a book and its author from the first manuscript review to publication and to be as happy about every successful publication as she was on the first day. She also looks after the publisher's readers and reviewers.
When she's not at her desk, she needs a hike through nature or a bouldering session in the climbing gym as a contrasting programme. But in the evening, you'll find her with her nose in a book again.

About Hermine
Hermine is employee of the month - every month. She's a cheeky labradoodle who knows what she wants: long walks, chin scratches and lots of cuddles. Nevertheless, she is happy to fulfill her role as Feel Good Manager.
When the doorbell rings, she informs the whole office of the arrival of a newcomer, who is showered with love. Aside from this task, her favourite activity is relaxing on her cosy blanket and recovering from the stresses and strains of the hard working day.
