Melinda Huber is the feel-good pen name of psychological suspense writer Linda Huber – she’s hiding in plain sight! She grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, but went to work in Switzerland for a year aged twenty-two and has lived there ever since. Her day jobs have included working as a physiotherapist in schools for handicapped children, and teaching English in a medieval castle.
Linda’s writing career began with around 60 feel-good short stories and articles published in women’s magazines, followed by twelve psychological suspense novels set in the UK. In the last few years, she’s returned to writing feel-good fiction, this time setting her books in Switzerland.
The Escape to Switzerland series centers round the fictional Lakeside Hotel on the banks of Lake Constance, with its borders in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. If the hotel existed, it would be just a mile or so up the lake bank from Linda’s home. She really appreciates having the views enjoyed by her characters right on her own doorstep!
