Tessa Harris

After graduating in History from Oxford, Tessa worked as a journalist and magazine editor. Her articles have appeared in dozens of publications, both in the UK and abroad. However, she has always written creatively in her spare time. When a filmscript, featuring an American doctor, was optioned by a major US production company, but never made, she adapted it into a novel. The result was the best-selling Dr Thomas Silkstone series.

Fourteen novels later, spanning the 18th to 20th centuries, her work now focuses on women whose voices have barely been heard in the past. She is the mother of two and a grandmother and lives in the Cotswolds with her husband and dog
